COPPER COATED
WIRE
Copper-coated wire (also called
copper-plated wire) is a type of steel or iron wire coated with a thin layer of
copper. This combination leverages the strength of steel with the conductivity,
corrosion resistance, and aesthetic appeal of copper, it is widely used in
kitchen scourers, low-cost conductive wires ( e.g., automotive harnesses,
appliance cords), electromagnetic shielding, welding wire, tire beads, crafts
and jewelry.
